At Sewguaro Co., we take great care with every keepsake item entrusted to us. Because keepsake materials may be sentimental, valuable, or irreplaceable, please read this policy carefully before placing a Keepsake Appliqué order.
Keepsake Appliqué
Keepsake Appliqué allows you to provide a meaningful piece of fabric or clothing to be incorporated into your custom appliqué design. Materials may include baby clothing, wedding dress fabric, clothing belonging to a loved one, or other sentimental textiles.
Please send a piece of material measuring at least 12” wide by 5” tall. This provides enough usable fabric for your design while helping minimize unnecessary use of your sentimental material.
Customers are responsible for providing material they own or have permission to use. Materials should be clean, dry, and reasonably suitable for cutting and embroidery.
The material may be cut, trimmed, stabilized, pressed, embroidered, or otherwise altered as necessary to create the requested design. Once material has been cut or processed, it may not be possible to restore it to its original condition.
Sending Your Materials
After placing your order, you will receive an email with instructions and the address for shipping your keepsake material to Sewguaro Co.
Customers are responsible for securely packaging and shipping their materials, including all shipping costs. We strongly recommend using a shipping method that provides tracking and, when appropriate, insurance.
Please allow 5–7 business days for your package to arrive before contacting us regarding delivery.
Sewguaro Co. is not responsible for customer-supplied materials that are lost, stolen, delayed, or damaged while being shipped to Sewguaro Co. Responsibility for the materials during transit remains with the customer until they are received by Sewguaro Co.
Production Timeline
Production begins once your keepsake material has been received and determined to be suitable for the requested design.
Please allow approximately 1–2 weeks for production after your material is received. You will receive an email confirmation when your material arrives and another notification when your completed order ships.
Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations & Refunds must be requested within 24 hours of placing your order. Any approved refund will be handled according to Sewguaro Co.'s refund policy.
Cancellation or refund requests received after 24 hours of placing your order will NOT be accepted.
Material Condition & Processing Risks
Fabric can vary significantly based on its age, condition, thickness, weave, stretch, construction, and previous use. During cutting, stabilizing, embroidery, pressing, and appliqué, material may experience fraying, tearing, stretching, shrinking, discoloration, distortion, or other changes.
Sewguaro will use reasonable care when handling customer-supplied material. However, Sewguaro does not guarantee the preservation, condition, usability, or return of customer-supplied material.
If material is too fragile, damaged, insufficient, or otherwise unsuitable for the requested design, Sewguaro may be unable to use it. If this occurs, Sewguaro will contact the customer when possible to discuss available options.
Customer Responsibility & Release
By submitting customer-supplied material, the customer acknowledges that the material may be sentimental, valuable, or irreplaceable and accepts the risks associated with shipping, handling, cutting, preparation, embroidery, appliqué, pressing, and other processing.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the customer agrees that Sewguaro Co. LLC is not responsible for any loss, damage, deterioration, discoloration, shrinkage, tearing, fraying, distortion, or other alteration to customer-supplied material resulting from shipping, handling, preparation, or the appliqué process.
The customer understands that submitting material for Keepsake Appliqué is done at the customer’s own risk and voluntarily accepts these risks.
Unused Material
Customers who would like unused material returned must notify Sewguaro before shipping their material.
Any applicable return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. Sewguaro is not responsible for unused material that is lost or damaged during return shipping.
Customer Acknowledgment
By placing a Keepsake Appliqué order, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Keepsake Policy.
The customer further confirms that they understand their material may be cut, altered, processed, and incorporated into a custom appliqué design and that the material may not be able to be restored to its original condition.
